Solid Surface
Made of resins and combined with mineral fillers, solid surface counters offer a
non-porous and stain-resistant alternative. These materials boast design
versaility, and undermount sinks and backsplashes can be incorporated with
virtually invisible seams. Small scratches can be buffed out and repaired. On
the downside, hot pans can discolor the material so care must be taken.
Staron\'ae Solid Surfaces by Samsung are acrylic surfacing materials with an impressive color range. These surfaces are also highly functional. They're
durable, stain-resistant, easy-to-clean, and repairable. A healthy countertop
choice, Staron\'ae is nonporous, so bacteria, molds and moisture cannot
penetrate its surface. Imperceptible seams, plus the option to incorporate
Staron\'ae sinks or bowls, enables designers to customize a one-of-a-kind
integrated solid-surface countertop system. These features also make solid
surface one of the few materials approved for use in commercial food service
areas and in health care facilities where hygiene and resistance to pathogens is
important. Limited 10 year warranty.

Laminate
Laminate countertops have a lot more to offer than in the past. Formica
laminates offer new granite-look colors and textures that are 2 1/2 times more
durable than your mothers matte finish. These countertops are economical, low
maintenance and available in a host of colors. Laminates are the least scratch
and stain resistant however but can be upgraded for more durability. Classic
laminate countertops can be a perfect solution when economy is important.

Granite
Granite has long been an elegant choice for high-end kitchens. Available in a
myriad of colors and patterns, granite coordinates with just about every
interior. It is durable, scratch and bacteria-resistant, and sealed granite

Engineered Stone
Also known as quartz, engineered stone imitates the look of natural stone by
combining small stone chips, resins and other pigments. Although quartz surfaces
deflect stains better than natural stone, no sealing is needed. Although quartz
won't quite stand up to heavy impacts like granite will, it is highly resistant
to scratching, scorching and staining.
Our key manufacturer of engineered stone is Silestone Quartz. Silestone recently
expanded it selection of granite-look surfaces offering now over 60 colors,
exceptional textures and finishes. Silestone offers the unique combination of
built-in Microban\'ae antimicrobial product protection, National Sanitation
Foundation certification and GREENGUARD indoor air quality certification.
Microban protection inhibits the growth of microbes such as odor-causing
bacteria, mold and mildew. Overall, an effective choice that is easy to
maintain. Limited 15 year warranty.
